Ozone therapy

Ozone is a gas that was already being used in medicine in the last century. The first field of medicine to use it was dentistry. Later, once the structure of this gas had been fully studied, ozone began to be used in other fields of medicine as well, as a universal therapeutic and preventive agent.

What is ozone therapy in Zaporizhzhia?

Ozone therapy is a therapeutic method of treatment whose effectiveness lies in accelerating metabolic processes in the human body at the cellular level. The use of ozone therapy promotes improved blood microcirculation, which affects the supply of oxygen to vital organs. Ozone therapy can practically replace the taking of antibiotics in the treatment of inflammatory processes and infections in the body. That is, ozone has an antibacterial, antiviral, anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory action.

Ozone therapy also helps to solve those cosmetic problems which for some reason it is customary to call "female": flabbiness, wrinkles, cellulite, premature ageing and withering of the skin, inflammatory processes of the skin of the face and body.

At the «SAN» Centre for Detoxification and Efferent Therapy, the use of ozone has moved far beyond the standard procedures of its application (subcutaneous injections) – today we use systemic ozone therapy!

Systemic intravenous administration of ozone has a comprehensive effect on the body, acting at the molecular and cellular levels, that is, it has a therapeutic effect both on the particular disease and on its cause.

Our centre uses 3 main systemic ozone therapy techniques:

  • Minor autohaemotherapy,
  • Major autohaemotherapy;
  • Intravenous drip infusion of ozonated sodium chloride solution

Intravenous drip infusion of ozonated sodium chloride solution.

Isotonic sodium chloride solution is widely used in the practice of ozone therapy for the intravenous delivery of ozone. For the procedure, sodium chloride solution in standard 200 ml vials is used, through which an ozone-oxygen mixture is passed in order to obtain the therapeutic dose. The freshly ozonated solution is administered intravenously by drip according to the usual infusion programme. The plan and the regimen of treatment are prescribed individually.

Major autohaemotherapy with an ozone-oxygen mixture.

With this method, a certain volume of the patient’s whole blood is drawn into a disposable sterile plastic bag for blood transfusions and is mixed with a certain volume of an ozone-oxygen mixture introduced into the bag beforehand. Once it enters the blood, ozone is present in it for only a few seconds, since active substances that have a therapeutic effect are formed instantly.

The technique is such that small portions of venous autologous blood are administered to the patient intramuscularly, according to various regimens, and the autologous blood is subjected to ozonation before intramuscular administration.
